Riviere from UCAT (The University Center for the Advancement of Teaching) with the workshop, “Constructive, not destructive: Tips for facilitating classroom conversation”. College level courses often include material that relates to parts of our lives that we (and our students) feel strongly about. This session will focus on the ways to plan for a discussion of content that might raise tension in the classroom and a strategy for managing any heated comments confidently and productively.
