A Poet's Journey with Kenneth Zak,
author of The Poet's Secret

The Ohio State University alumnus Kenneth Zak (Kostantinos Zakides; OSU BA ’84, JD ’87, captain, Men’s Water Polo club) returns to Ohio State to share his experiences as a lawyer, traveler, poet, and author of The Poet’s Secret.

The novel is a romantic suspense adventure about a young Ohio State lit student who, questioning the myth of eternal love, ventures to an exotic island to confront a reclusive, suicidal poet who may hold that secret and more.  The initial scenes are set at Ohio State.  The novel was written on a 3 year sabbatical when the author traveled, wrote and surfed around the world.  The initial draft was conceived in the village of Avdou on the island of Crete, just a scooter ride from the blue waters of the Aegean.

The author was recently featured on Frommers "The Travel Show" (radio) and in the September 2015 Luxe Beat magazine article “The Blue Life of An Aquatic Nomad.” The author comes to OSU after several months surfing and diving in France, Kauai and the Maldives. Sales of the novel proudly support “1% For the Planet” and Surfrider Foundation, two sustainability and conservation organizations.
