  1. Salus omnium una nocte amissa esset, nisi illa severitas contra istos suscepta esset.

    The safety of all would have been lost in a single night, if that (well-known) severity had not been taken up against those (men).
  1. Si essem mihi conscius ullius culpae, aequo animo hoc malum ferrem.

    If I were conscious to/in myself of any guilt, I would bear this evil with equanimity.
  1. Minus saepe erres, si scias quid nescias. Minus saepe erres, si Scias quid nescias.

    You would make mistakes less often, if you should know what you do not know.
