Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Classics Minor

Students who wish to minor in Classics may choose between the Greek Civilization or Roman Civilization track. Courses in Greek and Roman literature and civilization are taught in translation. The Classics minor requires at least 4 courses (12 credit hours) to complete the minor, excluding prerequisites.

Students who have decided to declare their minor should meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies or Academic Advisor to complete a Minor Program Form. This form lists all courses students will use to fulfill minor requirements and is one of the final contracts for graduation. The student and director/advisor will also review the courses already taken, still to be taken, and other requirements in order to complete the Minor Program Form.
