“Once again a crossroads”: The re-making of Greek literature in Early Modern Greece

Ugo Mondini (University of Cologne) is a scholar of Greek literature and culture. He was trained as a classicist and works on the medieval and modern periods. His research centers on the changing forms, uses, and social meanings of Greek, with special attention to the relationship between language education and literary culture across historical contexts.

 

His interests also include the production, readership, adaptation, and transmission of literary texts over time, as well as the reception of ancient Greek literature in Byzantine and modern Greek culture.
