The Phaedon John Kozyris and Litsa Kozyris Travel Award


This $50,000 endowed fund provides financial support to graduate or undergraduate students to pursue a formal program of study in Modern Greek (MG) language and/or research in Greece in any academic field requiring the intensive use of MG. It may cover study abroad fees, travel expenses, and any additional educational expenses (including books). The fund is restricted to a student (from any department at Ohio State who has attained a level of competence in MG beyond the first year of instruction by taking at least two courses in the MG language program at Ohio State, housed in the Department of Classics, or is a graduate student in the MG program. In the absence of a Modern Greek language program at Ohio State, the fund will support a competitive research award for a student from Greece or Cyprus working in any academic field, or a student of any background working on a MG topic.
