Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

This is a special session of the Department of Classics Faculty & Graduate Student Coffee Hour, with guest speaker Professor David Smith. David Smith is a Professor in the Department of Classics at San Francisco State University. His presentation will be an overview of the role of Classics in Environmental Humanities and will provide us with a broad look at how our field can benefit from this sub-discipline.

Environmental Humanities is a new sub-field that aims to bring together scholars of the humanities with artists, engineers, and scientists in a conversation about our changing environment. The new Environmental Humanities Program at Ohio State was developed by professors in the Departments of English, History, and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
