Drs. Don Lavigne and Elizabeth Sharp will discuss their work with Title IX issues at Texas Tech University. In particular, their presentation will offer an account of their experiences of working with an interdisciplinary group of faculty who came together for the purpose of addressing rape culture on their campus. In addition to detailing the impetus for forming the group and its methodology, they will also describe the unexpected benefits they discovered through this process. All are welcome.
Don Lavigne is Associate Professor of Classics and Associate Director of the Humanities Center at TTU. Elizabeth Sharp is Associate Professor of Human Development & Family Studies and Chair of the President’s Gender Equity Council at TTU.
