Why did you choose to study Classics?

I have always been fascinated by Antiquity. Studying Classics gives me the opportunity to pursue my passion for the Ancient World, confronting myself with different sources and methods of study. I chose to study Classics to enhance my skills as a scholar, and to make my passion my future job.

What do you like most about the Department of Classics?

The thing I like the most about the Department of Classics is the wide range of opportunities offered to students. As a graduate student, I have the chance to deal with excellent scholars interested in very diversified fields of study and to participate in many academic events which enrich my scholarly experience. Moreover, for my specific interests, the Epigraphical and Palaeographical Center constitutes an invaluable resource for pursuing my own research and for getting to know other scholars from different institutions who have my same academic interests.

What are your plans after completing your PhD program?

After my PhD program, I'd like to teach at the university level and continue my research.

What advice would you give to students considering pursuing graduate coursework in Classics?

Don't be afraid to follow your passions: studying Classics can open the way to a lot of future opportunities that maybe you don't even know. Don't be discouraged by the study of Classical languages.
