Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My research interests mainly lie in the social, cultural and economic history of the Early Roman Empire, with a special attention to the material sources, principally the epigraphical ones. I am particularly interested in the everyday life of Roman society, especially regarding people, like women, children and prostitutes, who lived at the borders of the society. I am also interested in the economic and cultural connections among people of different ethnicities around the Mediterranean and in the multicultural substrate which characterized some of the most important ancient maritime cities.
